Earthquake engineering expert, mainly engaged in seismic research on large-scale engineering structures. Born in December 1962 in Guang'an City, Sichuan Province. He graduated from the Institute of Engineering Mechanics of the China Earthquake Administration in 1990 with a doctor's degree.
In 2021, he was elected as an academician of the CAE Member.
