What is open access?

According to Budapest open access Initiative (BOAI), Open access means A certain literature can be obtained for free in the public network field, and any user can read, download, copy, transmit, print, search, hyperlink the literature, and establish an index for it to be used as input data for software or any other legitimate purpose. Users are not limited by financial, legal, or technical resources when using the literature, but only need to maintain the integrity of the literature during access, with the only restriction on its replication and transmission, or The sole function of copyright should be to give authors the right to control the integrity of their works and their accurate acceptance and citation

To achieve this goal, the Budapest open access Pilot Plan mainly proposes the following two ways:

·Open access Journal

(Also known as "Golden open access"). Price is an obstacle to access. Therefore, these new generation journals will no longer charge subscription or access fees. They will use other methods to ensure expenses. For example, foundations and government organizations that provide funding for scientific research, donations established by disciplines or associations, or even researchers themselves.

·Database open access

(Also known as "Green open access"). Scholars need some auxiliary tools to save published journal papers in an open electronic library, which is commonly referred to as self archiving. When it can be shared with other resource libraries, the database can meet this requirement and take measures to ensure permanent preservation. In this case, scholars from any field, including those without higher education institutions, All can enjoy the right to access OA knowledge inventory.

Editing process

This journal operates a rigorous peer review process. In most cases, this is a single blind evaluation with at least two independent reviewers, followed by the final acceptance/rejection decision by the editor in chief or another academic editor approved by the editor in chief. The chief editor is responsible for the academic quality of the publishing process, including admission decisions, approval of guest editors and special issue issues, and new editorial committee members.

Pre inspection

After submission, the inspection was initially evaluated by the editor in chief:

·The applicability of the manuscript to the journal/part/special issue;

·The qualifications and background of the author;

·Reject manuscripts with obvious poor quality.

Academic editors, that is, in the case of regular submission by the chief editor, guest editor's opinion on a special issue, or conflict of interest among editorial board members, will be notified to submit and invited to review and recommend reviewers.

Peer review

For most journals, this process is single blind, which means that the author does not know the identity of the reviewer, but the reviewer knows the identity of the author. Some journals undergo double blind peer review.

Collect at least two review reports for each submitted article. During the pre inspection period, academic editors can provide suggestions from reviewers. Alternatively, our editorial staff will use qualified editorial committee members, qualified reviewers from our database, or new reviewers for relevant articles identified through online searches.

The following checks apply to all reviewers:

·They have no conflict of interest with the author, including whether they have been published together in the past five years;

·They hold doctoral degrees (with exceptions in certain fields such as medicine);

·They must have the latest publications in the field of submitted documents;

·They have not been invited to review any manuscripts from this journal recently.

To assist academic editors, our staff handle all communication with reviewers, authors, and external editors; However, academic editors can check the status of manuscripts and the identity of reviewers at any time. The reviewer has two weeks to write comments. For the review of revised manuscripts, the reviewer is required to submit a report within three days. In both cases, extensions can be granted as required.

Papers can only be accepted for publication by academic editors. The employed staff of this journal can only refuse papers: if they are allowed to accept papers, there will be a clear conflict of interest, as their wages are paid by the APC who accepts the terms.

This journal chooses to adopt an open peer review approach, which means that authors can choose to publish comment reports and their responses to published papers (commonly referred to as public reports). In addition, if the audit has been released, the reviewer can choose to sign their report, in which case the reviewer's name will be displayed in the audit report (referred to as open identity). The default option is for reviewers to remain anonymous. For unpublished reports, reviewers and authors must choose this option separately. If the article is rejected, no detailed information will be published. The benefits of open peer review are that it can improve the transparency of the review process and provide interested readers with more information about the paper. We encourage authors to choose open review.

Editing decisions

After peer review, the acceptance decision for the manuscript is made by the academic editor (chief editor, guest editor, or other appropriate editorial committee members). When making editorial decisions, we would like academic editors to review the following:

·The suitability of selecting reviewers;

·The adequacy of reviewer comments and the author's response;

·The overall scientific quality of the article.

The editor can choose to accept or reject, request revisions from the author, and request comments from other reviewers.

If there is suspicion that the paper may contain plagiarism, the editorial department will use industry standard iAuthenticate software for inspection.

The reviewers make suggestions, and the editor in chief is free to oppose their views. If they do this for the benefit of the author, they should defend their decision.

Editorial independence is very important, and this publication will not interfere with editorial decision-making. Especially, without the consent of the academic editor, no paper will be published, and the staff of this journal do not recommend that the academic editor accept or do not accept the article.

adjustment

If only minor revisions are recommended, the author is usually required to revise the paper before submitting it for external editing. After the author makes revisions, the article may or may not be sent to the reviewer, depending on whether the reviewer requests to view the revised version and academic editors. Except for special circumstances, we allow a maximum of two major revisions per manuscript.

production

This journal processes all manuscripts, including language editing, copy editing, and XML conversion. Language editing is performed by professional English editors. In rare cases where extensive editing or formatting is required, we charge additional fees to the author (with prior approval from the author). The author is also free to use other English editing services or consult colleagues whose native language is English - the latter is our preferred choice.

Publication standards and guidelines

This publication follows the following guidelines and standards:

ICMJE: Medical related journals follow the recommendations of the International Medical Journal Editorial Board. This guide comprehensively covers all aspects of editing, from how to manage journals to detailed information on peer review and complaint handling. Most recommendations are not specific to medical journals, and all journals follow these recommendations.

This CONSORT statement includes reports of randomized controlled trials. We encourage authors to verify their work based on the checklist and flowchart, and upload it along with their submissions.

The TOP covers the transparency and openness of research reports. Our journal aims to achieve Level 1 or Level 2 in all aspects of the TOP. The specific requirements between journals vary and can be obtained from the editorial department.

PRISMA covers system evaluation and meta-analysis. It is recommended that the author fill out a checklist and flowchart, and include them in the submission.

ARRIVE contains guidelines for reporting in vivo experiments. It is recommended that the author verify their work based on the checklist and include it along with the submitted content.

During the final decision period, adherence to the above standards and guidelines will be considered, and the author should clearly explain any differences. We suggest that the author emphasize the relevant guidelines in the submission.

About Withdrawal

This journal attaches great importance to the standardization of academic activities and the completeness of academic achievement records, striving to ensure that academic papers retain traceable and unchanged historical records after publication. However, it is difficult to detect individual non-standard phenomena or unintentional errors in the manuscript, even after careful review by the editor. Therefore, correcting academic records is sometimes necessary. The decision to change the record is of great importance, and the publisher will take different measures based on the situation of the article, roughly in the following forms:

1. Express the problem

2. Correction (errors in layout or content)

3. Revocation

4. Removal

The above measures are aimed at correcting the article and reminding readers, rather than punishing the author. Any intentional or unintentional irregularity in the publication of articles in a journal shall be the responsibility of the journal editor to supervise and review, and the review process shall involve the author and reviewer. The editor will follow the withdrawal guidelines of this journal and other acceptable academic principles to select the best solution to address the issue.

If the author voluntarily requests action, the author will not need to pay additional fees for it. If the measures taken (such as withdrawing the manuscript) are not voluntarily proposed by the author, or are only unilateral actions taken by the author before reaching an agreement between the two parties, the publisher is not required to compensate the author for economic losses.
