Expert in applied geophysics and exploration equipment, mainly engaged in the research of geophysical exploration technology methods and intelligent exploration equipment for geological resources. Born in July 1954 in Tonghua, Jilin. In January 1982, he graduated from the Department of Applied Geophysics of Changchun Institute of Geology (now Jilin University) with a bachelor's degree. In 1988, he received a Master of Engineering degree.
In 2019, he was elected as an academician of the CAE Member.
