China International Communication Group Makes a Wonderful Appearance at the 2023 London International Book Fair

Lu Cairong, Vice President of China International Communications Group (China Foreign Language Publishing and Distribution Bureau), led a delegation to participate in the exhibition. Guotu Group, Foreign Language Publishing House, Chinese Language Teaching Publishing House, New Star Press and relevant personnel of the group participated in the exhibition. This is the first offline international book exhibition organized by the group after the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, especially after the epidemic.

Signing Ceremony for International Publishing Cooperation of Chinese Theme Books such as' Open China '
On April 18th, the Foreign Language Publishing House affiliated with China International Communication Group held a signing ceremony for international publishing cooperation on Chinese themed books such as "Open China". Lu Cairong, Vice President of the Group, Wang Qi, Public Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in the United Kingdom, Dennis Kezize, General Manager and Editor in Chief of Türkiye Kanut International Publishing Company, and others attended the event. Zheng Yongnian, author of "Open China" and professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen), delivered a video speech via VCR. Hu Kaimin, President and Editor in Chief of Foreign Language Publishing House, presided over the signing ceremony.
In her speech, Lu Cairong stated that the collaborative publication of Chinese themed books such as "Open China" provides a window for readers at home and abroad to understand how China can develop itself and achieve win-win results with the world under an open posture. Both China and Türkiye are ancient civilizations with a long history and culture, and also important partners in the joint construction of the "the Belt and Road". Through the international cooperation mechanism, strengthen the publishing cooperation between the Foreign Languages Publishing House of the China Foreign Languages Bureau and the Kanut International Publishing Company of Türkiye, deepen the cultural exchanges and mutual learning between China and Turkey with an open attitude, which will help the two countries know each other, benefit each other, and promote the construction of the Silk Road for people to people and cultural exchanges in the new era.
At the signing ceremony, the Foreign Language Press and Türkiye Kanut International Publishing Company signed 16 international publishing cooperation agreements on paper and e-books of 8 kinds of books, including Open China. They will translate and publish Open China and other Chinese themed works in Türkiye to meet the attention of Türkiye's readers to China's deepening reform and opening up.

On April 18th, the foreign language publishing house affiliated with the group held a signing ceremony for international publishing cooperation in Chinese themed books such as "Li In China". Vice President of the group, Lu Cairong, Public Counselor Wang Qi of the Chinese Embassy in the UK, President of the Lebanese Arab Science Press, Bassam Chebaro, and Editor in Chief Lena Chebaro attended the event. Li Zhaoxing, author of "Rites in China" and former Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Wang Jingyun, author of "Rites in China" and director of the Asian Center for Rites and Culture Research, delivered speeches through VCR video. Hu Kaimin, President and Editor in Chief of Foreign Language Publishing House, presided over the signing ceremony.
In his speech, Lu Cairong stated that Minister Li Zhaoxing's work "Li in China" uses etiquette to make the world understand China, and in analyzing traditional etiquette culture, it showcases the rich cultural power deeply rooted in the hearts of Chinese people, allowing the world to see a different Chinese style through etiquette. The joint cooperation between the Foreign Language Publishing House of the China Foreign Language Bureau and the Lebanese Arab Science Publishing House is a new achievement in cultural exchange between the two countries, based on mutual trust, in the context of reaching a new height in China Arab relations. It will continue to inject new impetus into the cultural exchange and publishing industry of the two countries.
At the signing ceremony, the Foreign Language Publishing House and the Lebanese Arab Science Publishing House signed an international publishing cooperation agreement for a total of 12 paper and e-books of 6 books, including "Li in China". They will translate and collaborate to publish various Chinese themed works, including "Li in China", in Lebanon to meet the interest of Lebanese readers in Chinese culture.
