Currently, young people represented by Generation Z are the main force in digital reading, and digital reading is also one of the main ways for Generation Z to acquire knowledge and cultivate reading habits. On site, the Shanghai Library, China Press, Publication, Radio and Television News, and Reading Group jointly released the "Generation Z Digital Reading Report". Data shows that 66% of the new users of reading in 2022 were born in 1995, with a cumulative review volume of over 30 million and a cumulative reading time of over 2 billion hours, equivalent to reading 20 million historical records. According to QQ reading data under Yuewen Group, 93% of Generation Z readers have read at least one book in the past 12 months, with an average of over 11.7 books per year.
